Painting Process

What supplies do you use? I use artist grade Windsor and Newton, Daniel Smith Watercolors, Rivervale Gold Watercolor and Arches Cold-Pressed watercolor paper. I do not use gold leaf or any paints with harsh chemicals because I have a pet bird in the studio! I have to keep that little guy safe.

Framing

Do your paintings come with a frame? This is dependent on the collection/size of the piece.

What kind of frame should I get? First and foremost I am a big fan of taking a painting to the local framer to be professionally done. I also understand wanting to shop for your own. Always frame watercolors behind glass, preferably with a “mat” to keep moisture out. If you insist on a floater frame, I urge you to not hang the piece in a humid location such as a bathroom or sun room.

Sizing

What size paintings do you make? I paint anywhere from 5x7” all the way up to and past 22x30” paintings. My work as of late has been geared towards larger scale pieces.

Purchasing Art

Do you accept returns? At this time I do not accept returns. That being said, I want you to be over the moon with your painting! If there is an issue with your order please reach out to me ASAP.

What if my painting is damaged in transit?

I do my best to ensure each piece is packed safe and secure for shipment. In the unlikely event that your order is damaged, please email me with a photo of the item to begin a return and refund or exchange.

Will the painting look the way it does on my screen? I always do my best to ensure edited photos are as close as possible to the painting you will receive in the mail. Sometimes computer/phone screens can distort color depending on your settings. Please don’t hesitate to ask for more pictures, videos, ect. of the work in question.

When will the Print Shop Re-Open? The Print Shop will be up and running again soon! Sign up for the email list to be the first to know when the next batch is coming.

Do you offer payment plans? Pieces that qualify for a payment plan will have a note stating “Payment Plans available upon request” at the bottom of the listing.

Shipping

What carrier do you use? I use both USPS and UPS depending on the size of the piece and where it is going.

How long does it take for you to send my order out? Purchased work is shipped within 4 days after the order is placed unless otherwise noted.

How long will my order take to arrive? I use standard shipping for all orders. US shipments tend to arrive in 1-7 business days and International shipping can take 1-3 weeks. I greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Where do you ship to? I I ship to every location in the USA. International shipping is available upon request.

Do you do local pick up? Yes! There is a local pick up option when you go to check out and set up shipping. Enter your address (it is required on Squarespace) and I will contact you to arrange a date/time. I live in Richmond, VA but if you are in Hampton Roads area I can arrange a drop off when I go for visits.

Commissions

Do you take commissions? If you are interested in commissioning a floral or botanical watercolor please email me in the contact form above so we can chat! I absolutely love being a part of a unique piece that we build together. Commissions start at $400
